It is not a rookie class and only available to horses 4-years-old or younger. Eligible horses are those that were raised by Travis Quarter Horses or are by our stallions or out of our mares. Entry is $25 for two stages with a $1,000 for 2022 and beyond. The 2022 Futurity was on the Saturday of the Travis Quarter Horse Shoot - August 6th, 2022.

This Futurity Class was one of our largest classes yet, and definitely one of the most fun to watch. Eight of our competitors ran fast and hard to compete for their chance to take home the coveted Tavis Quarter Horses saddle pad and $1,000. It was a tight race between our competitors, but in the end, the youngest Travis brother came out on top. Congratulations to Adam Travis and TF Driftin Mesquite - our 2022 Travis Quarter Horses Futurity Champions!

These three competitors brought their A-game this year to the futurity contest, and it was a tight race between the three generations of riders. In the end, Clint Travis pulled off a win riding Ruger, out of our grademare, Lilly, by Flash One. Clint received a $500 check and a personalized saddle pad, crowning him as the 2021 Travis Quarter Horses Futurity Champion.
