Dakota is a 2016 stallion, out of Rey Black Buck by CJ Driftin Hancock, carrying 10% Blue Valentine blood. His colts have exceptional minds, are easy to break, and are simply a joy to ride. Many of Dakota’s offspring are ideal for young riders, making them some of our favorite horses on the ranch.
This quiet, hard-working stallion was broke by our friend Jack Quee at 84 years old, a testament to his calm, trainable nature. Bruce Travis rides Dakota most often, and even after months off, he remains consistent, dependable, and enjoyable. We are truly blessed to own such an outstanding stallion whose talent, temperament, and versatility shine in every foal he sires.
