Travis Quarter Horse Testimonials
Real Words from Riders, Families & Friends of TQH
There’s no better proof of our horses than the people who ride them. From first-time buyers to seasoned ranch hands, families across the country have shared how a TQH horse made a difference in their lives.
Whether it's a quiet-minded gelding for the kids, a quick-footed mare in the arena, or a steady partner on the ranch, these stories reflect the heart behind what we do. Scroll through to hear their experiences and why they chose Travis Quarter Horses.

"Well my new little guy is here! Once he settled a little bit he was already showing how sweet he’s going to grow up to be.
Huge thanks to Travis Quarter Horses for an easy sale and truly being such great, honest and kind people to deal with. Also to E & C Transport for getting him home safely. God is so good y’all."

"A few weeks ago, I drove west to Iowa to spend a few days with the wonderful Travis family of Travis Quarter Horses.
I needed to heal a broken heart and came to look at and hopefully connect with this gorgeous, calm, speed bred, red dun, a coming yearling named TQH Rare Queen.
Surrounded by horses, cattle and thousands of acres of God’s beautiful countryside, in a separate pasture of youngsters, I fell in love with Rare Queen, who I have named “Lila”.
Dearest Lila, I promise to be the best I can be with you. You are mine, but I am also now yours.
Many thanks to the generous and warm hospitality of the Travis family!
2026 - the year of the horse and the 250th year of these great United States - I embrace you with open arms.
And a new adventure begins…"

"Corrie and her friend Ruby have really been working with her colt this year. They’ve got him used to being led around with a saddle (very small, very light).
Travis Quarter Horses sold us a good one. This little guy is very smart and eager to learn."

"I have wanted a Travis horse out of two specific horses for years. When I decided this year was the year I purchased one, I looked through all their horses and still picked the same combination, wrote it down in my shooting journal, and contacted TQH. Didn’t say anything about the combo I wanted just what I wanted to use the horse for. The first one they sent me was the combination I wanted. I might have cried. The smile on paisleys face as she clumsily climbed on our coming two year old for the first time makes the investment worth it."

"TQH Blued Pistol
Dam - LMP Stetsons Chick
Hudson is a four year old (birthday in a few days!) and has been exhibitioner a few times. Life is chaotic so he's not done as much as we'd like together, but I'm excited to get him going more this year! Eventually Hudson will replace my old mare and become my main match horse. Maybe one day if I can learn long gun, he'll follow his sires hoof prints in rifle/shotgun, too!
He also does ranch riding, works cattle, and does various random things including nursing home visits, lead line lessons and trail riding. He's the best boy!"

"Good Job Dotty! TF Flashing Train is her registered name (I think, lol) The best mare ever, we started and finished her and use her for everything from working cattle to trail rides. She won MO State High Point as a 6 year old for Travis and a end of the year high point saddle to boot. LOVE HER."
"TF Crazy Train, our son's filly he bought himself. He was able to start her under saddle completely by himself with absolutely no issues and had a blast doing it. He's not even a self proclaimed horse nut, and she was an investment for him. She's another incredible Claytons Blue Train that we'd trust with about anyone. She is now owned by our daughter, Katie Smith who has another Blue baby of her own that I want to steal too..."

"TQH Flassy Missy ‘Scarlett’
3 yr old
Dam - Zips Classy Flash JT
Owned by Kelle Winkle
Started by Sierra Marie Felix
Most recent update from Sierra includes she handles so easy and progressed under saddle so quickly and she just wants to work. She is able to get lead changes in a lope and only been under a saddle for nearly 3 months. Scarlett is gonna be a contender at the 2027 Futurity."
