Before becoming a gelding, Smokey sired a few colts, but it was clear he would make an even better riding horse on our ranch. Smokey combines exceptional cow sense with a remarkably sound mind. One minute, Jake can run a fast, competitive pattern on him, and the next, his younger brother with Down syndrome can confidently take him through the same pattern at his own pace. Smokey is a true example of the kind of horse we strive to raise at Travis Quarter Horses, athletic, versatile, dependable, and kind-hearted.
